These charming mountains that we love to explore will always provide space for romantics to enjoy, especially on holidays such as Valentine’s Day. Seeing the snow-speckled layers at sunset, feeling the warmth of a coffee through your mittens, or the comfort of your loved one locking arms with you as you stroll the small mountain town streets all make Haywood County a wonderland of romance. That’s why you’ll want to celebrate this extra sweet holiday of love NC Smokies style by checking out some of these date spots and ideas.

Go On a Coffee Date

Have a Take-Out Meal with a View
Take on a mountain top view with our tasty local takeout options. Grab a meal to go and head to Lake Junaluska for a picnic. If you’re up for a chilly outdoor adventure, head up the Blue Ridge Parkway by foot, which is closed to winter traffic – just make sure to bring lots of layers and snuggly blankets. If an easier trek with a pretty payoff is more your speed, head to Soco Falls. You could even sit on the observation deck while you eat your treats.
Cheer with Beer
Head to Bearwaters Brewing in Maggie Valley or Canton or Frog Level Brewing and Boojum Brewery in Waynesville and cheers to another year of love. You can also stop by Blue Ridge Beer Hub or Bosu’s Wine Shop to pick up bottles if you have plans for a take-out date.
However you plan to spend this iconic holiday, we hope you have a wonderful time with those you love …and hopefully don’t have too bad of a sugar coma! XOXO
