The Visit Haywood Welcome Center is stocked with regional brochures, maps, visitor guideslocally-made goods and souvenirs, a calendar of events, and answers to your questions on how to make the best of your trip to Haywood.

Whether you’re headed up to a scenic overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking in Pisgah National Forest or the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or in the mood for a laid-back day on the town, our staff is armed with the in-depth knowledge and insider tips you need to find the best things to do, places to stay and directions to get where you want to go.

Directions

From I-40 W:

  • From I-40W, take exit 27 onto US-74 toward US 19-23.
  • Continue for about 4 miles.
  • Take exit 103 to US-19/Maggie Valley/Cherokee and drive about 1 mile until you see Lake Junaluska’s front entrance gates on the right. 
  • Turn right into Lake Junaluska, then turn left into the Bethea Welcome Center parking lot. The Visit Haywood Welcome Center is inside (look for the blue walls)!
From Downtown Waynesville:
  •  From N Main St., head west and turn left on Walnut St.
  • Walnut St. turns slightly left and becomes US-276/Russ Ave.
  • Go straight for 2.2 miles then turn right onto Dellwood Rd. 
  • Turn left into Lake Junaluska, then turn left into the Betheas Welcome Center parking lot.
