Sustainabillies LLC is a non-certified, organic market farm nestled in the mountains of Haywood County, NC. They provide guided farm experiences and classes in all manners of sustainable skills including growing organically, cooking and preserving fresh foods from your garden, and planning and constructing the homestead or farm infrastructure. A standout amongst others in the industry, Dustin and Sara built their homestead–– including a blacksmith shop and a tiny house used for tea processing and classes––from the ground up. They transformed a mountainous property into 3 acres of highly productive farm with vibrant soil and 7 greenhouses where they grow year-round.
Sara has been lauded as an expert at high intensity organic production in a challenging environment. They achieve the same productivity as farms several times larger without using any heavy equipment, only ecological practices. Sara and Dustin also partner with many local agricultural and food security non-profits to help grow and strengthen their community.
