The Swag Restaurant

About

The Swag’s sweeping vistas and warm hospitality are rooted in the soul of the Great Smoky Mountains. Founded in 1982, The Swag joined Relais and Châteaux in 2020 with 18 luxury cabins and suites, and an award-winning restaurant. Perched almost a mile above sea level, the secluded 250-acre mountaintop grounds are located just 50 minutes west of Asheville, but a world away from your day-to-day.

Reservations are required and available on Resy. The Swag welcomes guests to join them for one of the spectacular meals offered throughout the season, which runs from March through mid-December.

Spend a day exploring The Swag and Great Smoky Mountains National Park with the Trail Pass Lunch, which includes a packed lunch and a Swag hiking stick! The onsite team is happy to provide hiking maps and tips for your perfect day on the mountain. Available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

The Chef’s Gourmet Picnic buffet atop Gooseberry Knob, a favorite amongst guests, is offered Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12 p.m.

On Sundays at 11 a.m., their famous buffet-style Swag Brunch offers a variety of delights served alongside a carving station and a dessert table.

Settle in at 6 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres on the front porch before the dinner bell rings at 7 p.m. for a four-course meal in The Swag House. Casual yet gracious, dinner at The Swag embodies an authentic, luxury mountain experience.

Thursday night is a special time at The Swag. Join their Chef’s BBQ with live bluegrass music and a homestyle buffet of the Appalachian classics that you know and love.

As an acclaimed establishment that believes hospitality means ensuring guests are well cared for and well fed, The Swag looks forward to welcoming you.
