Sliding Rock Waterfalls

About

Located in the Pisgah National Forest just north of Brevard. 7.6 miles from the junction of US Highways 64 and 276, is Sliding Rock, one place where you’re invited to take the plunge down a 50-foot slippery cascade into the 50-60 degree, 7-foot deep pool.

There are 2 observation platforms, and lifeguards on duty during the season. This is a heavily used recreation area, so it’s suggested you come early. It’s suggested, too, that you wear old shorts and old sneakers if you choose to take the plunge. Nominal admission charge for sliders but no cost to watch. Lifeguards on duty in season.
